Cress is an annual plant, featuring tall, thin stems with green, thin, oval-shaped leaves. Watercress has a sour and spicy flavour, very distinctive. It is used fresh, to maintain its nutritional properties, such as in the preparation of salads, appetisers, with cheese or as a garnish.
