The Cinnamon Basil is a variety of basil; it is an annual plant, with an upright habit and violet-green leaves.
In the kitchen, it can be used in any recipe that includes cinnamon, as spicy Arabic cuisine or recipes of chocolate desserts.
In order to obtain a spicy pesto, substitute about half or a third of basil with cinnamon basil: the result will be very pleasant.
It is excellent for herbal tea. The dried cinnamon basil is also great added to a normal infusion of black or green tea.
